Speaker Bio
Lisa N. Aguilar is an Indigenous woman, researcher, and relative. She is an enrolled member of MHA Nation, Lakota, Dakota, and Chicana. She is also an Assistant Professor of School Psychology at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Her work focuses on reclaiming and remembering Indigenous ways of being and doing by working alongside Indigenous youth, families, and communities to: 1) imagine how we decolonize education and Indigenize school psychology, 2) learn how Indigenous students come to their identities of self and community and 3) move school psychology away from oppressive research practices and toward critical research relationships. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, the current Editorial Fellow for School Psychology, and the Co-Chair of the NASP Indigenous American Subcommittee.
