Bill was born in Detroit and grew-up in Michigan, Illinois and Connecticut. He graduated from Michigan State University, in 1995, and was subsequently commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Air Force, assigned as a Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations.
In 2000, Bill was recruited as a Special Agent with the U.S. Secret Service. He was initially assigned to the Dayton Resident Office, Dayton, OH. Bill then transferred to the Presidential Protective Division, in Washington, D.C. After serving on the details of both President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama, Bill was selected to be an instructor at the U.S. Secret Service Training Center, in Beltsville, MD.
In 2010, Bill transferred to the Springfield Resident Office, Quad Cities Domicile, in Rock Island, IL, where he formed an electronic crimes working group, focused on combating the online exploitation of children. In 2014, Bill was promoted to the position of Resident Agent in Charge of the Springfield Resident Office, Springfield, IL, where he continued his work safeguarding children, throughout the 85 counties in his area of operations.
In 2019, Bill was transferred to the St. Louis Field Office, where he oversaw the execution of the Secret Service integrated mission and began providing internet safety training to students and parents, sponsored by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Last year, Bill returned to Michigan and assumed his current position, where he supervises Secret Service protective and investigative operations for the Detroit Field Office and continues to serve as a Secret Service Ambassador for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
