In this session, Arkansas State Teachers Association retired member, Ms. Rosie Coleman, will focus on how this recently retired elementary administrator led a school from high poverty-low performing to high poverty -high performing with the help of an incredible team. She will share excerpts from her book about how giving students a chance makes a significant impact on performance data. Her recently released book “Give Me a Chance” is an engaging narrative that presents the daily struggle that poverty presents told through the eyes of a child.
