What happens after the cameras leave? Recovery from a traumatic incident is rarely linear or simple, and its impact can continue for weeks, months, and years. In this powerful conversation, survivors Missy Dodds and Allison Willemin explore trauma, prevention, and recovery through the lens of lived experience, examining how survivor perspectives can reshape the way we think about preparedness and prevention. Together, they’ll discuss the role of trauma-informed reunification planning, recognizing individuals in crisis, building healthy communities, and auditing prevention and response plans, while exploring what it means to support individuals and communities through the long-term process of healing.
