Rachel Hochhauser heads Law Enforcement Outreach at Snap and also acts as a Strategic Advisor to the Safety Operations team. Rachel was previously the Head of Law Enforcement Operations for North America, and oversaw the North American team responsible for providing data in response to legal process received in connection with criminal investigations. Rachel joined Snap after sixteen years as a prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, during which time she investigated and prosecuted a range of violent and white collar crimes, including crimes against children. Rachel has also served as a Trial Attorney in the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague. Rachel is a former Adjunct Professor of Law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she taught, and thought, about the intersection of domestic violence, child abuse and the criminal justice system. She holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and New York University Law School.
