More than 397 million people use Snapchat everyday because it fosters fast and authentic communication with those who matter most to them.  The vast majority of teens and young adults in more than 20 countries use Snapchat to connect with friends.  But what do educators, safety professionals, and parents need to know about Snapchat and how it works?  And what is the company doing to help keep teens safe on its platform? This session will take attendees through a “Snapchat 101,” share Snap’s commitment to and actions regarding safety for teens and young people, and offer guidance for educators and school officials on how best to promote safe habits, practices and engagement on this abundantly popular app.
