It is no secret COVID, the Opioid crisis took its toll, bringing many through an emotional roller coaster. Those first responders and leaders of organizations, large and small, found themselves feeling compassion fatigue from hearing challenge after challenge. Working in healthcare, law enforcement and the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) field are both rewarding and challenging, and they often lead to high levels of stress and burnout among professionals. The emotional demands, coupled with the complexity of the work, can take a toll on even the most dedicated individuals. To continue providing high-quality care and support, it’s crucial to develop strategies that enhance personal resilience and effectively manage stress.
