In this session, Tad Roberts, supervisor of safety, social services, & transportation for Meigs County Schools, talks about lessons learned from the tragic Meigs County bus crash on October 27, 2020, when a utility truck collided with a school bus carrying 33 elementary and middle school students. That day, five students were airlifted for injuries and two individuals lost their lives, the bus driver and a student. Roberts discusses best practices in preparing, responding, and recovering from school bus emergencies.
