Dr. Tommy Arnold the Director of Schools at Jefferson County Schools. I have the privilege to oversee 7000 students and 1150 employees daily to ensure the school district runs smoothly and safely. Throughout my 24 years in education, I have enjoyed the challenge to create a safer learning environment for students and staff. Many successful roles and positions I have filled over the years including teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, federal programs director, maintenance supervisor, and assistant director of schools allowed me to fully understand the needs of a school system. My most important role is that of father and husband. I have three children who all attend Jefferson County Schools and my wife Brandy is a teacher in the district.
