Captain Carter has 28 years of law enforcement experience and is assigned as supervisor over the SRO division. I work as a liaison, between the Jefferson County School System and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Currently oversees 13 full-time / 3 part-time officers assigned to 12 different schools throughout the county. During his career, he helped implement the SRO program, at Jefferson County High School, by serving as the first full-time SRO.
