Jeffrey Scott Coffey was elected as the Sheriff of Jefferson County, Tennessee in 2018 and continues serving in this capacity to the present day. Sheriff Coffey has 35 years of experience in law enforcement, and emergency service. During his distinguished career, Sheriff Coffey has performed a variety of duties in public safety such as Patrolman, Patrol Supervisor, Field Training Officer, K-9 handler, Paramedic, EMS Supervisor, Director of Emergency Management and Emergency Medical Services. Sheriff Coffey strives daily to improve the level of training and technology at the Sheriff's Office to better serve and protect the citizens of Jefferson County.
