Description
Students with high self-efficacy have the power, skills, and self-belief to double, if not triple, the speed of their own learning, but how do we support students in building self-efficacy? Through a few simple but powerful practices, teachers can learn to use praise effectively thoughtfully grow learner dispositions, challenge negative thinking, and engage in meaningful goal setting, feedback, and progress- making with students.
Learn how to change outcomes for students through:
- Understanding the power of clear learning expectations
- Equipping students to use meta-cognition to move their own learning forward
- Transferring the locus of control from teacher-driven feedback to student-driven feedback
- Providing opportunities for students to prove their learning
