In this session, Michele and Natalie will share their respective journeys since the tragedy at Sandy Hook School and challenge attendees to rethink their approach to comprehensive school safety with help from the Safe and Sound Schools Framework. Focused on resiliency in the face of adversity, the importance of communication and collaboration when developing inclusive safety plans, and the necessity for social-emotional learning to be embedded into daily practice, attendees will walk away inspired with action-oriented items to implement in their communities.
