This session will provide practitioners with an overview of the approaches K12 BTAM team members should use to ensure they are focused on the fundamental proactive and preventative work necessary for conducting supportive behavioral threat assessments. Framing team practices with multi-disciplinary perspectives, evidence-based resources, and an understanding of the intersection of bullying, violence, and suicide are all crucial aspects that the session will cover. Insights from the intelligence community and analysis about recent acts of school violence will drive the takeaway knowledge, resources, and practices for participants.
