Pathways for Prevention, a Signature Program of Safe &Sound Schools, focuses on universal violence prevention strategies, as well as targeted and intensive interventions for preventing and responding to violent behaviors to support safe learning environments. Pathways for Prevention is rooted in the application of Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and identifying and utilizing systems of support within school communities to ensure student growth, wellness, and safety. In this session, Dr. Joe McKenna will introduce attendees to the program and provide real-world illustrations and examples of MTSS as a model for prevention, intervention, and postvention.
