Erin Langill began her federal law enforcement career in 2007, as a United States Secret Service (USSS) Uniformed Division Officer assigned to the White House Branch. In 2009, she was reassigned to the USSS Protective Intelligence and Assessment Division and served as a Senior Protective Intelligence Research Specialist, assigned to both the Internet Threat Unit and the Threat Assessment Desk. Since then, Ms. Langill has served as a Special Agent for both the Naval Criminal Investigative Service at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL and (currently) the Coast Guard Investigative Service at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT.

Ms. Langill has been an Instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers since 2018, teaching in the Behavioral Science Division and the Counterterrorism Division (CTD). Ms. Langill currently serves as CTD’s Threat Assessment and Threat Management (TATM) subject matter expert and has developed numerous TATM training products that she has delivered to over 6,000 TATM practitioners nationwide. Ms. Langill has had the honor of delivering specialized TATM training at the National Sheriff’s Association Annual Conference for the past three years and most recently was the recipient of the 2024 International Association of Chiefs of Police 40 under 40 award which recognizes the top rising leaders from around the globe, exemplifying leadership, dedication, and service to their communities and the law enforcement profession.

Ms. Langill holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with an Undergraduate Certificate in Homeland Defense from Curry College, a Master of Public Administration in Public Administration with a concentration in Emergency Management and Homeland Security from George Mason University, and a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice with Graduate Certificates in Forensic Criminology and Victim Studies from the University of Massachusetts. She is also a Certified Threat Manager through the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals.
