Speaker Bio
Sarah Thomas Pilcher has devoted her life to building healthier communities. Sarah graduated UA Little Rock with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences and a minor in biology. She also attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Science (UAMS), where she received a Master’s in Public Health. Sarah is also a certified yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance, a nonprofit association representing the yoga community by ensuring that instructors are qualified via quantitative standards and properly trained.

Sarah was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2011, and since then she has served as a governing board member and spokesperson for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of Arkansas. She has served three terms on the Arkansas Governor's Commission for Disabilities — in 2013, appointed by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe, and in 2016 and 2019 appointed by Gov. Asa Hutchinson. Pilcher currently works for Community Health Centers of Arkansas (CHCA) as the Community Outreach, Emergency Preparedness Management Coordinator, and CDC Certified Lifestyle Coach with National Diabetes Prevention Program.



Sarah also teaches yoga at Arkansas Yoga Collective. In her free time, she plays tennis and spends time with her family.
