John Calvert graduated from Washburn University in 2006 with a degree in Criminal Justice. After a 12-year career in Law Enforcement, 6 of which served as a School Resource Officer, John accepted a position with the Kansas State Department of Education and is now the Director of the Safe and Secure Schools Unit. John is a strong believer that nothing can change without building positive relationships and believes that change in our schools should be student lead.
