Dr. Brad Welle serves as superintendent for the Grain Valley School District in Grain Valley, Missouri. This is his first year in the role following 11 years as assistant superintendent for the district. Previously, Brad served as an elementary school principal for eleven years. He began his career as a middle school paraprofessional and then as a middle school social studies teacher for Liberty Public Schools in Liberty, Missouri.
This is Brad’s 25th year as a school or district leader.
Grain Valley became a Bright Futures community in 2014 and Brad was the founding coordinator. Today, Bright Futures is a central feature in Grain Valley and their community network ensures no student goes without shoes, eyeglasses, clothing, weekend food, personal hygiene supplies, school supplies, or many other needs. The network even helps ensure high school students have access to free prom dresses if needed.
