Your school has a functioning school-based, Level 1 BTAM team – now what? When complex or particularly concerning cases arise, a community-based BTAM team is crucial in providing assessment expertise and collaborating on management interventions across both school and community settings. This presentation focuses on developing, implementing, and improving a sustainable, community-based Level 2 team. Using the SK Cascade preventive behavioral threat assessment system as an example, the presentation will focus on practical strategies for building relationships between school and community partners, sharing information, navigating potential challenges, and developing community-wide management strategies essential for long-term case management.
