Kyley Slater is a Lieutenant with the Weber County Sheriff's Office and currently serves as the County Security Chief for Weber County. Now in his 16th year in law enforcement, Kyley also brings 10 years of experience as a 911 dispatcher, providing him with extensive knowledge in emergency response, public safety operations, and crisis coordination. Growing up in the law enforcement community helped shape his lifelong commitment to service and community safety.
 
Throughout his career, Kyley has served in assignments including patrol, school resource officer, detective, search and rescue, and traffic enforcement. In his current role as County Security Chief, he also oversees the Sheriff’s Office team of 10 school resource deputies, bringing extensive experience in public safety operations, crisis response, and collaborative leadership.
 
Kyley is passionate about strengthening partnerships between schools, law enforcement, and community stakeholders. He believes that building strong relationships fosters trust, improves communication, and ultimately supports student well-being, safety, and success.
