Raven Rylander is a principal in Ogden School District dedicated to creating safe, supportive, and connected school communities. Her “It Takes a Village” approach brings students, staff, families, and community partners together to build trust, strengthen communication, and support a shared commitment to student well-being, safety, and success. Raven has led through complex school safety incidents and uses those experiences to strengthen site-based protocols, staff capacity, communication systems, threat assessment practices, and cross-agency coordination. With a background in education, counseling, criminal justice, emergency response, and community collaboration, Raven brings a practitioner’s perspective to translating policy into meaningful, sustainable school-level practices. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology, a master’s degree in Counseling, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy.
