Creating a Culture of Dignity: How Trusted Adults Can Address Bullying Online and In Person
Description

Educators, caregivers, and youth-serving professionals play a critical role in creating safe, connected environments where students can thrive. In this session, participants will explore the differences between bullying, conflict, drama, and peer aggression while gaining a clear understanding of how bullying impacts student well-being both online and in person.

Through real-world examples and practical strategies, attendees will learn how trusted adults can recognize warning signs, respond effectively, support targeted students, and help build a culture of dignity, empathy, and accountability. This session will also address the role of social media, group chats, and digital communication in modern bullying behaviors, providing actionable tools for prevention, intervention, and student support.

Participants will leave with research-informed strategies they can immediately implement to strengthen relationships, improve school climate, and empower students to become upstanders both online and offline.
