Canyons District peer court is supported by student judges, grades 9-12 who volunteer their time each week to hear cases and deliver dispositions. These students are trained in restorative practices, communication, district and state policy. Peer court judges are really the heart of this program as students become leaders by listening, understanding and seeking to restore justice while offering true wrap around services. During the 24-25 school year, over 1500 hours were donated as a collective group. The opportunity to be a peer judge is life changing as each one of them will share.
