Brian Gard currently serves as Director of Safety for National Heritage Academies (NHA), leading safety initiatives and support for over 100 K-12 schools in nine states. He also serves on the board of directors for the Partner Alliance for Safer Schools (PASS), and as former chairman for the State of Michigan’s School Safety Commission. He was previously a runner up for Campus Safety Magazine’s Director of the Year award and presents occasionally across the county on safety related items.  Prior to his career at NHA, Brian served as a police officer in Grand Rapids, MI for over a decade in multiple capacities, ranging from the tactical team to the training bureau.
